therapy

how it works

Like any other unknown and new thing that you embark on, anxiety is an emotion that you may experience. Similarly with embarking on the journey of therapy, I’ve often heard people describe it as scary. With that being said, therapy is an enlightening journey whereby aspects of yourself will be discovered, whereby you’ll be equipped with problem solving skills and more importantly, you will be left feeling emotionally regulated. Therefore the main aim of therapy is not to terrify or leave you feeling anxious but rather to work alongside you in unpacking what lies in your mind and heart as well as assisting you with day to day difficulties you may experience.

Regulated Heads Director and Clinical Psychologist

As a Clinical Psychologist who has been in private practice for over 5 years, our approach at Regulated Heads is a Client centred one. We at Regulated Heads also use a Systems Approach to further understand problems as well as address them. This means that “no man is an island”, most mental health related difficulties have origins in the kind of relationships and backgrounds that individuals have, therefore we approach our clients with a delicate curiosity to understand their presenting problem more wholistically.
